St. Michael Parish Confirmation Sponsor Form

Your faith journey is never one taken alone within the Christian community. Along the way, you build relationships with people who demonstrate what it means to be a Catholic by how they live their life and practice their faith. A Sponsor at Confirmation is a *CONFIRMED, practicing Catholic* who stands up for you before the community, presents you to the Bishop at the ceremony, and witnesses your Anointing with the Holy Chrism.

The Sponsor's influence in your life continues long after you receive the Sacrament. Your sponsor should be someone you can turn to for guidance as you continue your spiritual walk in the years ahead. While your parents are your first and primary teachers of the faith, they may not serve as your Confirmation Sponsor. A Baptismal Godparent would be an excellent choice!
